1. Location
Location
Pass through the arched colonnades into an airy lobby that opens to the ocean, and you will like you stepped into last century's Hawaii. It is strange to think that just outside is Lahaina's Front Street - Maui's center of action, with many local shops, art galleries and restaurants that stay open late because there are always people walking around.
The grounds at Lahaina Shores Beach Resort are nicely landscaped and have a large oceanfront lawn where you can lie out and relax with a book, or just stare at the waves and daydream.
Lahaina Shores Resort is located right next door to 505 Front Street - a recreated whaling village that now includes several charming shops, restaurants and bars. Everything else in Lahaina, from 5-star restaurant to fast food joints to grocery store, is just a short walk away.
2. Rooms
While Lahaina Shores is not a full-service resort with all the extras, the rooms are very nicely appointed. Decor is classic Hawaiian style, with wicker furniture and light-colored tropical patterns. It is great to have a big kitchen and balcony.

Many restaurants and cafes in Lahaina are within walking distance from the Lahaina Shores Resort. Here are our 4 favorite places:
1) Pacific'O Restaurant – next door, at 505 Front Street
As you walk across the Italian marble floor towards the open-air patio, you will see for yourself why the Zagat Servey has placed Pacific'O in top 10 for "Romantic Location" and "Best View".
You will enjoy beautiful beachfront setting, attentive "Aloha-style" service and excellent Pacific Rim Cuisine. If you come on Friday or Saturday, you can also listen to wonderful live jazz music. The award-winning menu features many not-to-be-missed items, such as Shrimp and Basil Won Tons, Roast Maui Onion and Goat Cheese Salad, and the fresh catch of the day, seared with a macadamia coconut crust and Thai peanut coconut sauce. The wine list boasts over 100 selections, including many rare wines of different styles and tastes.
2) Cheeseburger in Paradise – 0.6 miles away, at 811 Front Street
This place is always hopping! A terrific atmosphere and affordable prices grant it instant popularity, and the burgers are out of this world. Choose a juicy loaded beef burger and add yummy gigantic fries and a tropical drink, or opt for the veggie and chicken selections.
The location is unbeatable, next to the seawall on Front Street in Lahaina. You will have an absolutely spectacular oceanfront view from your table.
