3. Restaurants 1) Naupaka Terrace Steak House This is a nice restaurant that serves breakfast buffet and American-style dishes (including mid-western aged beef and local seafood) for all meals, at fairly reasonable prices between $10 and $20. Outside tables are a favorite place for guests - you get terrific views of the ocean, pool, and torch-lit waterfalls. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 2) Driftwood Sand Bat & Grille Light dining in a delightful garden setting. 3) Shutters Lounge Come here in the evening to unwind and relax while listening to live music. They have good tropical drinks and tasteful appetizers. Open 6pm-11pm. 4. Things to do - Free Cocktail Hour
The nightly manager's happy hour (5pm-6pm) is wonderful--free beer, sodas, wine, and mai tai's! Right after it, from 6pm to 7pm, you can watch a tradional torch-lighting ceremony. Hula dancers and Hawaiian musicians demonstrate their talents while lighting tiki torches around the pool area. The last part of the torch lighting ceremony is the most amusing. Boys and men, if you are tall and handsome, be prepared to be abducted by the hula dancers during the show and not be released until you have hula-danced with them. All those chosen receive a shell necklace as a nice little souvenir. - Beach
The hotel fronts 3 miles of beautiful secluded white-sand beach. Although you can't swim at the beach (waves are pretty rough and unsafe most of the time), walks in the sand are still very enjoyable. - Pools
The pool area consists of four good-sized pools of different depths, including a 3-ft-deep sand pool for little ones. 3 freeform pools are arranged around rock waterfalls and cave that looks like Fern Grotto. Brand-new fresh-water sand-bottom pool with a man-made beach is particularly relaxing. There is also a Jacuzzi, thatch-roof snack bar and plenty of lounge chairs around. Other facilities include:- Free coffee/tea in lounge every morning
- Free shuttle from/to airport, golf and shopping
- Spa & Exercise Center offers sauna, spa treatments and massages and up-to-date exercise equipment
- 4 tennis courts
- Public 18-hole Wailua Golf Course is next door (low green fees)
