Castle Waikiki Shore location

1. Location

Located directly adjacent to Fort DeRussy, Castle Waikiki Shore (former Outrigger Waikiki Shore) is the only beachfront condominium in Waikiki. Kapiolani Park, Honolulu Zoo and Aquarium are 1 mile away. The city bus stops just outside.

As soon as you arrive, you'll see why everyone wants to stay here: the location (right on Waikiki beach) and the view (a spectacular panoramic vista of the entire shoreline from Diamond Head to Honolulu).

2. Rooms

There are 107 units, including studios, 1- and 2-bedroom condos. All units are very spacious and have nice furnishings, modern appliances and unobstructed views of the ocean (except 1-bdr garden view which is located on the other side of the building and overlooks the street and the grounds).

    Each room features:
  • Air-conditioning
  • Large lanai with table and chairs
  • Studios - kitchenette
1-bdr and 2-bdr - full kitchen (with microwave, rice cooker, dishwasher)
  • Washer/dryer
  • Color cable TV
  • Coffee maker
  • In-room safe
  • Iron and board
  • Hair dryer
  • Daily maid service

3. Restaurants

There are no restaurants at the Castle Waikiki Shore, but very many are nearby. One of our favorite restaurants is:

Tavola Tavola - located .9 miles away, at 3106 Monsarrat Avenue
This place is perfect for a delicious, authentic Italian dinner, prepared by an Italian chef.

Menu includes many delicacies, such as Seafood Risotto with Marinara Sauce, Scallop with Herb Butter and Pan Gratin, and Eggplant Cakes with Grilled Vegetables. Full bar has a good selection of wine and beer.

4. Things to do

This place is perfect if you need a condominium and you want to be near everything, including restaurants, busline, nightclubs. With so many activites around, you'll hardly notice that there are no restaurants and no pool at this property.

  • Beach activities
Waikiki Beach is paradise for any water sport! You can go sailing, snorkeling, outrigger canoeing or catamaran riding. If you've never tried surfing, Waikiki Beach is a perfect place to start because the waves are usually very gentle. The surf is under two feet in the winter, and around three feet in the summer (with occasional four to six foot swells in the summer). You can rent beach equipment such as boogie boards, aquacycles, kayaks and much more from the on-site beachfront stands.
